How to ask for deletion

Send an email to hello@duoleads.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". You can also start it yourself from Facebook: open Settings and Privacy, then Settings, then Apps and Websites, find Trend Radar and choose Remove. Removing the app does not send a request by itself. Then open View Removed Apps and Websites, choose View next to Trend Radar, and click Send Request. Facebook then sends the request to us, and we record it straight away.

What gets deleted

Trend Radar's database holds no account data about you, and we do not record who added or removed a Page, so a deletion request is complete as soon as we receive it. We keep only its confirmation code, the date and the status, for 90 days.

Removing the app in Facebook also stops Facebook from giving Trend Radar access to your account. Your session is kept only in your browser: signing out ends it, and it expires automatically. We do not restrict sign-in at present, so we keep no list of Facebook user IDs in our server settings either.

The Page engagement numbers are reaction, comment and share counts on public posts. They are not about individuals and do not include anyone's name, so a personal deletion request does not remove them. Removing a Page from the dashboard list does not delete them either: collection stops, and they stay until our normal deletion, 90 days after collection. The Page's name and handle stay as well.

Erasing a Page's data

There is no way to do this inside Trend Radar. Send an email to hello@duoleads.com and name the Page. We then delete the Page's name, handle, posts and engagement numbers from our database by hand. Copies in database backups may remain for a limited time. Anyone signed in could still add the Page again later, and collection would then start afresh.
